SAVE THE CAT!!!

I just finished reading the most outraged news article on AP's website about CAT ON THE MENU IN CHINA. Eating snake, turtle or even crocodile meat....OK it's not something nobel, but it's not something surprising, considering THE CHINESE HUGE APPETIT. Eating dog's meat, even it's unacceptable for me, but I know it's not something unusual. But eating CAT...come on, this is the first time I heard about it...come on, did they forget how they were so desperate to cure themselves from SARS just couple years back???

Suddenly, I feel ashamed to be a Chinese in general and CANTONESE in particular. Really....... we could not even spare a life of a little animal, should we, Chinese, still call ourselves HUMAN?

  They said that they consumed cat's meat for nutrition reason, yeah right, the day after the BIG CAT a.k.a TIGERs say they need to eat human to survive their winter hibernation, they went to the city of Guangzhou and eat some people and I will see if those CANTONESE people will ever let those TIGERs leaving Guangzhou safely.

Hasn't the chinese learns in their life once that playing fire you will get burn, playing water you will get wet? Seems like they had totally forgotten about SARS.....hopefully they will wake up before the next SARS makes a come back to remind them that IT'S NOT OK TO EAT ALL LIVING CREATURES.

Sleigh all the way

It has been 2 days we got battered by the snow storm, we have about 1 meter or 3 feet of fresh now in the garden. Tonight, there is the Fete de St. Nicolas, one of the big festival here. Rue de Prado and Grand Place were closed as a makeshift pedestrian zone for the street party. We went out to enjoy the ambience, luckily we took the sleigh with us, with the amount of snow we have today, it's really a lot easier to move around with racquet or sleigh than with the heavy snow boots LOL

PERFECT BIRTHDAY

Last Friday, I celebrated my birthday at the office. It's one of those perfect days in my life...early morning, Regina already sang the birthday song for me, later on Julien surprised me with a jewelry sets, after everyone head out to work and school, Sebastien helped me to mop the floor with the Swiffer (woohoo). And that afternoon....they surprised me with a Mousse au Chocolate and a bottle of champagne in the office.WHAT A PERFECT BIRTHDAY I had!

Holiday Wreath

Holiday is coming soon, and I am not ready at all :( Just say....in the last couple of weeks I became completely unproductive for my etsy shop. I rarely make new bags - how sad is that?? And just last week, I realize that we are only about 1.5 months away from Christmas day, and I haven't do any single thing for that big day, not even painting my wall which I normally do it every single year :(

So last weekend, I went to BHG's website, try to get some idea for what kind of Christmas craft I could make, but I want to make sure if I could any recycleable things that I have at home, try to safe a buck or two. then I found the idea of making the wreath using wine corks.

We got plenty of corks at home, and luckily until now I haven't get a chance to take them to the recycle place, so I could get a good use of them.

On the weekend, I already bought a sterofoam wreath and some artifical flowers and a velvet bow. To make it actually is pretty easy as long as you have lots of corks and lots of refill for your glue gun, cause this projects really need lot of GLUE. Glue corks on the sterofoam wreath in the pattern you like, or you can even do it without pattern a.k.a abstract. Squeeze bunches of artificial flowers in between the opening of the corks. At last, glue the bow either in the center top or bottom, 4 o'clock position or 11 o'clock position could be great too.

Last Raisin of the Season

During the visit to our friend's house at Saviese, I found this beautiful image of last raisin if this season on their neighbor's wineyard. Mid of last week all of sudden we got the cold front which brought snow even at the lower altitude. They told me those raisin, which been dried out on it's branches, will be picked up later by birds.

Steph took out one this yellow-orange rose for me from a beautiful bouquet she received from her best friend. What a sweet gift !!!!

Dance

Regina had her first dance with her father. She was so happy, she told me that was the best moment in her life.

Assassination Plot Targeting Obama ?

Awhile ago, I wrote about the possibility that Senator Obama could be killed as he moving forward with his presidency, and today, I saw more and more sign of that chance to be realized by those racist and maniac American.

I never believe that all American is racist free. Some of them are still so racist and judged people by their skin-color, origin, culture, etc. But are these irreasonable aspects really has to be passed to some other people? I mean, if you don't like something that's your personal problem, you don't need to force or makes everyone support your idea.

Americans condemned the action of the Islamist Fanatic when they tried to target any US's interests or Diplomats, but when we look into the detail, those fanatics are also like those racists American who try to attack others who they thought don't have same idealogy, class, whatever is that.

Come on, let it be a clear and fair election. No more smears, no more lies, and no more dangers attack. The most important thing you can do is go out and vote on November 4th, don't listen to those robocall, campaign flyers, but...listen to your heart, it's only you who know who is the best fit for you.

Today is my lil sis' day

Today, my little sister - Fransisca, is taking her Hippocratic Oath, on the other words, she is officially a physician a.k.a doctor. My mom told me, even better, she is the best graduate student from her class. HAPPY GRADUATION, SIS!!!

 

Tonight's Dinner : PAELLA

Today we got invited by our neighbour, Eddie, for dinner. Eddie and his girlfriend, Mame, are Spanish, and tonight, they made for us special Spanish Tapas for appetizer and a delicious Paella served with a great Chardonay. They are such a nice couple, we sat and talked until quite late at night, then got to go back home cause kiddos need to go to bed.Well, got to invite them to come over here next time... for another cuisine from another side of the planet...Indonesia's Cuisine.
