Socialism (noun) any of various political philosophies that support social and economic equality, collective decision-making, and public control of productive capital and natural resources. A belief that industries and infrastructure within a society should be owned and controlled by the society as a whole (the state) and that such common ownership produces greater general benefit than private ownership for private profit.
Fainess (noun) the property of being fair
Above are the definition of socialism and fairness that I found from Wiktionary. I tried to look at other dictionaries (Oxford and Larousse), they gave me more or less the same definition. I guess people who wrote on Wiktionary also checked on those dictionaries.
When we tried to bridge the gap between those haves and those don't haves, you might will ended up with label as a 'SOCIALIST' - just as what happened to Barack Obama, as he tried to bring the fairness for American middle class, he got the SOCIALIST label from the GOP members and supporters.
In contrast, I pay lots of respect to those people who dare to take that chance to fight for those who needs than those big business man.
I pay close attention to both candidates taxes and health care policies. Be honest, I don't see any single of McCain's that leaning towards 'ORDINARY PEOPLE', it's more that - the prorperity of those haves will tickle down to you, so let those haves make more profit and they will pass some of it to you, later, BETCHA!!!.
I agree that health care is a RIGHT for every citizen, and I also agree that family that working so hard is eligble for a special 'TAXES RATES' which will give them the chance to enjoy the income they made on maximum, not only let big companies making the most of tax saving and then bring those money to expand their business else where with one argument - the cost in USA is way too expensive.
Giving chance for people to have an affordable health care is just the way government taking, care of its citizen.
I understand that giving discount on taxes is a great way of attracking investor to invest in the country. But, on the other hand, offering no discount taxes for people who don't make enough money while giving discount taxes for people who making too much money is just 'ethical not correct'. While paying taxes is every citizen's responsibility, government sometimes have to understand, for those who don't haves, every single dollar is count. A small discount for their taxes rates will means a lot for them. But for those who already haves, they will not appreciate the tax discount (tax break) they receive, and even though the really have to pay those taxes, it won't make them poor anyway.
It's very easy to mess up between the fairness for everyone and socialism. But one thing we have to keep it in mind, what has been purposes by Barack Obama is only a bit relief for those who don't haves and it has nothing to do with socialism, cause he didn't even mention a small bit of sharing your wealth with others.

What a girl!!! She loves nice dresses, if possible new dresses every single day LOL then remembered how my mom always try to make clothes for me, I think it's my turn , now, to repay it to my daughter, Regina.
So we decided to try to make a jumper for her, it will be nice to make one in the earthtone colors, and I am thinking about made it double sided, so it will be warm enough to be worn during cold winter day. So I bought this book - Japanese autumn-winter children sewing pattern book from EBAY
This book contains 43 patterns for clothes and goods for Children for size (tall) 100 - 140 cms.
All the stuff in this book is super cute, but some of them are also super complicate to make. I am kind of give up, even before I tried, for some smock dresses pattern.
After spending about 1 month time to study one of the jumper's pattern, I decided to give a try on it. In worse scenario, it will be her pijama instead LOL....tell me I am desperate !!!
She wanted in Purple, she choose a solid purple fabric and a polka dots (also in purple), but I found out those color will make her looks older. I tried to persued her to go with dark brown and a nice beige-pink cherry blossom fabrics. She finally gave me an OK
It tooks me about 2 meters of fabrics (in total), 1 meters of velvet ricrac trim, and 2 days time..I finally came up with my first ever handmade jumper...................
It will just a perfect outfit for autumn, spring and summer. All she needs is either a long or a short sleeves t-shirt inside and she is ready to go.

I always love roomy bags, either it's small, medium or big...as long since came back from my vacation. So turn my brain from left to right and right to left...I keep thinking that my Fidela bags are my all time fave, but I can't make my shop becomes a mono-bag shop....then I came up with this mini version of my fidela bag....and it turned out to be totally CHIC! (what do you think?)
From left to right : Orange Damask, Heritage, Frangipani
The closure of this handbag is with a tubular frame which I double-wrapped so it will be comfy on hand. It looks small, but on reality....it's very roomy. I can put my big wallet, cellphone, sebastien soft plush toy inside and there is still some places for other things.
check my shop for more bags - http://novitajulien.etsy.com

Until now, all I know about rights are human rights and consumer rights, haven't heard about animal rights, have you? Me too, today, is the first time in my life I heard such a bizarre term, but it is, at least, made me laughed out loud a.k.a LOL.
So what is this animal's right is all about ? here are the summary of the article I got from Yahoo! News. And my fave part is how pig seems like don't really appreciate this animal's right movement LOL.
By the way, since Pyong is a fox, isn't that mean I will also be granted such rights? LOL

All Swiss animals are equal - but some more so than others
GENEVA (AFP) - Want to get rid of your goldfish? Swiss owners who have been flushing them down the toilet -- still alive -- must now find other methods since strict, new animal protection laws went into effect Monday.
Instead, a fish must be first knocked out and then killed before its body can be disposed of, the law stipulates.
The new legislation spells out in exhaustive detail how all domestic animals are to be treated, whether they be pets, farm animals or destined for scientific experiments.
Wild animals are also covered by the law if they reside in zoos or circuses.
Just like in George Orwell's satire "Animal Farm" however, some animals enjoy more "equal rights" than others.
Not only are goldfish now afforded a more "dignified" death than being dispatched round the U-bend, but it is now also forbidden for Swiss anglers to practise catch-and-release fishing or recreational catching only to throw the fish back in the water, or to use live fish as bait.
In the domestic sphere, common household pets such as budgies and hamsters can no longer be kept by themselves.
The same applies for more exotic breeds such as lamas, alpacas and yaks -- admittedly not your average pet but a common feature in zoos.
Even sheep and goats must have at least "a visual contact with their fellows," according to the new law.
Man's "best friend," the faithful hound, comes in for special treatment as dog owners will be obliged by law to take special classes on how to raise Fido properly so he is less likely to bite.
And Swiss dog-owners wishing to "customise" their pets as a fashion accessory will not be allowed to crop their tails or ears -- nor "force them to have surgery to get droopy ears."
But one cannot help but wonder if the animals would really welcome all the provisions Swiss lawmakers have generously bestowed upon them.
Pigs, for example, are often said to be happiest when rolling around in the mud -- but now they have the legal right to a shower to freshen up.

Tell me if I was crazy...I woke up at 4 AM this morning , thanks to my cellphone's wake up alarm, or precisely 10 PM EST when Barack Obama started his big speech. When I went to bed, it was about midnight in Switzerland or 6 PM EST, I saw the Invesco Field only...what...half-full, but then I tell myself, ' I will still wake up to see what Obama can say about his change'. But still, I think he's gambling too much, what kind of mess he will create if those other half can't be filled by the time he has to start his talk.
4 AM - my cellphone bipped but CNN already on since I came to the room before midnight, I know it's a waste of energy, but I really can't sleep without my CNN. Normally Julien will turned it off for me when he found I already fast asleep, but especially for tonight, he is forbidden from touching or trying to take the remote control away from me LOL
Back to Invesco Field...by the time I woke up, the half-empty studio now is filled with people, according to the reporter almost 80,000 or more people there, not counting million of American watching TV, hundreds listening at New York's Time Square, and of course eager international audience a.k.a me LOL
The begining of the speech, I am listening....but the mid-end of the speech that made me want to cry, scream, it seemed like I heared Martin Luther King Jr. redo his 'I HAVE DREAMS' speech on the DNC. Really touchy. You may think I go abit overboard for Barack Obama, or exagurate things to make this post seems more enjoyable to read....but at least, that's what I felt by that moment. All of sudden I felt with hope, I know it won't be easy task for him, there should be tons of things to be done, lots of sacrifaction to be made, perhaps he will make more enemies than he had ever anticipated, but for the sake of the changes that will make life of majority people who suffers during the selfish policies of current adminstrations, I don't see why not we give a try.
Many critics saying that he sold promise in his speech, I said he asked people to make those dreams come true by the power of their own and with the help of his administration, assuming he won the election. He said that, government is there to help the people in general, but government can't help each individual in their own mean.
We need to dream, but after the dream we need to figure out how to make that dream comes true. That's exactly the message I got from Barack Obama's speech last night and I totally agree with that. When we stop dreaming, it's the end of our days. But only dreaming without ever thinking how to realize it is also nonesense. With Barack Obama's spirit, I feel that the Dream of MLK is reviving. The Dream still there, it's not dead yet....and it's time to try to realize that dream to be a reality.

My mind already flew to those cold autumn and winter days. Today, I made my self a tunic with a one-side flannel plaid burgundy-white. The inspiration I got from a Japanese magazine, well..everyone knows I love all Japanese stuff.
I know it's not super cool...since this is the second time I tried to make home-made clothes in the last one month. First one is the skirt for Regina, now is the tunic for me. I think I might want to try to make the third, forth, and more clothes for me

New design of the Neemon purse...this one I called it HIMALAYAN LIFE. All fabrics used to make this bag is actually imported from India. The lined fabric is imported from Tamil part of India, while the shell is imported from the Kashmir area. What is interesting, it's actually bag contains of 3 totally different kind of fabric, this time, no cotton involved. The shell is a combination between handwoven wild himalayan silk and organza, while inside is with the poplin.

Women, we need jewelry all the time...it's our destiny that we need those BLING BLING things. I happened to have a friend, Jennifer - a very dear one, who is so talented to make jewelry...for daily use or for special occasion, you name it...
I traded my bags with these beautiful set of jewelry.....it called WHISPER...very misty and classic...but this one is only one of many other things she has on her etsy shop
JG EdgeWear ~ custom designed beaded jewelry
She is really my type, like me, everything she makes is one of a kind. So, if you want something that she currently doesn't have it, let her know, she will be very happy to make one for you (she is a very friendly person). But what she offer not only make new jewelry for you, she even extend her service to resize and repairs your jewelry made by others.
This is the words I quoted from her shop
"There is a flame in my soul that I cannot extinguish, my passion is for the adornment of the body and the growth of my spirit." I am happy to say that this is what drives me in my designing as well as in my life! I believe strongly in the integrity of the components as well as the construction to make a beautiful statement, in my jewelry! "
Aren't they inspiring? ;)
Oh...perhaps you are also an Etsian, you like to trade, barter, however you call it, this is the best person to go to....if she like your stuff, she will be more than happy to trade her beautiful made jewelry with your items...and she is a very fair person (don't worry that she will try to take advantage from you).
