Browsing the internet for today's latest news, I am just getting tired with the almost uniform headline - the pittbull with lipstick (sorry Sarah, gotta called you like that....you are an ordinary hockey mom, but your behaviour is more like a pittbull...attack...attack...attack.....and of course drill, drill, drill LOL)
But there is one news that really catch my attention, and breaks my hearts at the same time. A 19-square-mile ice sheet broken away from Ellesmere Island. Another bad sign that global warming reacts faster than predicted.
My hope just raised up a bit after my visit to Norway last month - check my other weblog dedicated to this journey. I was asthonised with the news that the glacier at the Jostedalbreen Nasjionalpark is getting larger in the last 2 years. Larger, bigger you name it....while other glaciers are shrinking, this one is doing the opposite activity, isn't that a great news to all of us? Came back from that trip, I also saw somewhere on the news saying that the ice caps are melting again at the north pole (it's not a big news since it's a business as usual in the last decade), but showing an improvement comparing to last year, well...a little bit, as my mom always says, slowly but sure.
After less than 1 month of joyfull with all this good news, my heart is crying again. I know nothing we can really do to stop global warming 100%, but we could at least, make it happened slower so our scientist could figure out the best solution for this new dillema of life. oh...talking about finding solution, I really like a sentence I accidently read on the wall of Jostedalbreen nasjonalpark - it said that National Park is to preserve a land dedicated to nature to conserve itself in its natural way.
