The day at the Conservatory of Valais

Today, The Conservatory of Valais in had its Open House. I thought it would be a good idea to take Regina there since she loves music, and I really want to let her discover all the instruments before she made up her mind whether she really want to play music or not. Make the long story short, by the end of the day, she ended up felt in love with the cello, and the teacher even invited her to come to her class next Tuesday, so she could learn more about the cello before we really decide whether or not we want to enroll her to the Cello preparation private class which will starting this autumn. Thanks for Sara - the cello's teacher, Regina really having a great time today...we'll see you again on Tuesday....

PYONG had a face lift....(Looks more Bostonian now)

Today, PYONG had a face lift. I accidently found at the new theme selection..the cityscape of Boston. It, for me, is one of the best city in the world, either to live in or just to visit. I live there for a while, but it just like I already spent most of my life down there...I always miss to go back there, miss my days there, and miss being a Bostonian..

Swiss Marmottes

Who said Swiss is only about chocolate and cheese...it also has its cute animal Marmottes. Found these two cute pals at a grocery stores. Lately stores offers many gadget with Swiss flags on it to support the EuroCup 2008 which will take place in some of Swiss' cities (Bern, Basel, Geneva, Zurich, and if I did not mistake...Luzern too).

The marmottes I bought are extra large keychains, which you can squeeze on the tummy and it will make either a yodelling sound or the accordion music....sometimes it's good to show a little bit patriotism when you have a country you can proud of....

Guild Free Muffin ala WW (Weight Watchers)

My big guy at home is on diet, well...sometimes. He always love desserts, the sweeter, the better. Last time when I went to COOP (a chained supermarket) I found this package of cake mix powder on sale, well...since this is weight watcher...why not....I go ahead and bought it along with a package of the sour cream and frozen berries. I did not make it until this afternoon...and it took me about 40 minutes in total to make this guild free muffins...all you need to do is just preheat the oven at 180°C and mix the mixture with 225 grams of water and 75 grams of sour creams. Mix well with the mixer for about 3 minutes. After it's well mixed, I put in the thawed frozen berries, and mix it again, this time by hand, not with the machine, unless you want to puree all those berries. Divide the mixture equally into 12 lined muffin cup, put it in the heated oven-...and 35 minutes later...you will have 12 delicious guild free muffins ready to be consumed by the whole family...BON APPETIT

                                                               

Another bad day.......

Another bad day for PYONG !!! I spent about 2 meters of fabrics to try on my new pattern......and it came out 'A MESS'. I think the reason behind all this mess is because, I AM TOO STRESS....the reason I was so in rushed in because I want to join on next tuesday FAM Promotional....I pushed my stores to open earlier just for that. When you give too much preassure to yourself, sometimes you really come up with mess instead of a perfect one. I tried to have a great store with great collections of unique bags...but since I can not concentrate perfectly, I come up with mess all over my craft room...... Shame on me.................PYONG IS REALLY UPSET TONIGHT!!!!!!

Curse for Yankees....

First thing first, I am Red Sox supporter...so, don't feel offended if you are a Yankees' lol.

Second, did anybody watching CNN special report about the new Yankees' stadium? OK, I admit it...it's a lot better than Fenway, but no matter what, I still love Fenway more (support the home town's team DUDE!!!) I don't know if I should call it, the best part or the funniest part of the report, is that the manager of Yankees found out that one of the construction worker who is a Red Sox fans burried a Red Sox jersey under the concrete....it tooks them about 3 or 5 hours just to dig down the concrete and took that t-shirt away.

Final point, if from now on, Yankees will never ever win to Red Sox...we understand why lol...it's under the curse of its construction worker who love my home town team so much..........

Why PYONG BRICOLE?

Yesterday, in the family luncheon with Bonvin family, I told people about my blog - PYONG BRICOLE. They do understand the word Bricole, because bricole in french means crafts. People know my passion in crafting, especially in bag making, but they don't get about PYONG. Why has to be PYONG???

I told them...I love Pyong. It is a MSN emoticons introduced by my sister long time ago. And it's very cute...don't you think so? Besides, I am personally love the fox. It's so cute, and it's a magnifique animal. Unfortunately, people always has the negatif perception about fox because all those folktales which always put fox as a bad character. Like, the Little Red Hood, and in chinese folktales, fox always means bad woman who always making affair with men bla bla bla. But PYONG always has a positive meaning for everyone who knows him, it's always happy and cute...well since I like fox, and craft, why didn't I just mix both of them together...and voila...PYONG BRICOLE.

Corn, better for the car or stomach?

Sometimes I wonder, what is better a green planet or well filled stomach? For the sake of making rich people driving their big car without feeling guilty, governments courage to produce more and more ethanol to replace the oil. I wonder how many corn it will takes to produce a gallon of ethanol ? I think, with the same amout of corn, we can produce enough polenta to feed a family of 4 or so.

Increase demand for corn, also increase its price. But the increase demand of corn is not to fill our stomach, instead is to fill the car tank, how sad is that? And worse, the price of rice, as the substitute of rice increase at the same time as the result of people who can not have corn to eat, they will eat rice instead. Very well then, some people drive their big car will tank full with ethanol while other people stay at home with the empty stomach. And farmer will do the same, since corn price is getting so high, why should they plant its substitute....let's plant corn and sell it to the ethanol producer.

Economy is going nowhere, even sometimes plunge to the bottom of the ocean, but prices going up without any compromise. And see what happened in the last couple day in some part of the world, riots because people is hungry....like my mom told me before, "POOR PEOPLE SHOULD NOT MAKE YOU WORRY, HUNGRY PEOPLE SHOULD. BECAUSE ONCE SOMEBODY GETTING HUNGRY, THEY COULD JUST DO EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO FILL THEIR STOMACH"

I am a suporter of the green planet campaign, but on the other hand, I could not careless for those who don't have food on their table. What do you think is better, corn is used for cars of those rich people or to fill the stomach of poor people?

I CHOOSE THE SECOND ONE. WITHOUT CAR, WE WILL STILL SURVIVE. BUT WITHOUT FOOD, THERE IS NO MORE LIFE. LET'S USE MORE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND SPARE THOSE CORN FOR THOSE WHOSE STOMACH NEED IT MOST.

Sonia Grimm concert

This afternoon I took my kids to see the musical concert of Sonia Grimm at Sacoche (Sierre)...not alone of course, we actually go together with Sonia (Julien's best friend and also god mother of Sebastien) and Adrien.

The hall for the concert is quite small, and we got seat on the second from the last row...poor Regina and Sebastien, they had to stand up to be able to see the show from our seats.

My banner is ready

Just got a word from the designer that banner plus gadgets for my ETSY shop is done. Well, for the moment I will keep it for myself, it's will be the surprise until the day when my store will be officially open for business. But one thing I can tell you.....the design she or he made for me is absolutely gorgeus!!! It made me speechless for a while. Thanks a lot for pixelbypixel for her or his beautiful works.

WAIT FOR MY GOOD NEWS OF WHEN MY STORE WILL BE OFFICIALLY OPEN TO SERVE ALL OF YOU, AND DON'T FORGET, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A SOFT OPENING SURPRISE TO COME WITH IT.
