Genius

Sometimes I wonder, how genius a person could be? This picture I took onboard Costa Fortuna on my way from Rhodes to Dubrovnik on the wall of thr self-service restaurant. I wonder how, Colombus and friends, been able to draw this map of the world without any help from satelite image. And until now I still can't understand how people could build the giant pyramid without any help of cement or any bulldozers. It proofed one thing, the genuis of human being is beyond the wildest imagination one could has.

It's been a year...

Last year, we took Regina to the Sion's Conservatory of Music open house. That's, actually, the begining of her journey with her cello - Quincy. Today, she went again to the Sion's Conservatory of Music open house, but this time, she's the one who performed in front of the public.

It's quite....strange...to see how she advancing so much in this one-year time. She was such an innocent girl, known nothing about music, shy...and now, how she is growing up so fast (last year she begun with the 1/10 cello, now using 1/8 cello and soon will be changed with 1/4), and most important thing...she's not shy at all to play in front of the public.

Thanks to Sara and all her students who always give their full support to Regina.

I felt like living in North Pole

It's going to be half way through the month of March. We supposed to enter spring by this time. Instead, today we got a blizzard with the gust which made the mercury which hovered on the freezing point felt like a subzero level windchill.

Fresh snow piled up on the snow which was already there since October last year. I love having a white Christmas, but when we start to have 5 consecutive months of snow, I started to feel like I am, actually living in North Pole, except, I have longer sunlight per day during the winter compare to those who really lives in the top of the world.

Special Cup of Coffee

This cup has a special meaning for me, this is actually the very first cup of coffee I had with Sandrah. I met her accidently when both of us wanted to shot the same object in Venise. She is a very nice lady, she could tell if I am an amateur, but she didn't look down on me at all. She gave me tips and advices to improve my photo taking skills.

Who says that a cup of coffee is only could be use to wake you up, sometimes a small simple thing like a cup of latte could really bright up your life.

Today is the final day of the carnaval season in Sion. We went down to take some pictures and let kids have some fun with their costumes (Regina was dressing up with her butterfly wings, Sebastien was a dalmatian) and confetti - today is the only day I permit them to get crazy and wild with the confetti thingy.

During the carnaval's parade, accidently I saw this candid motion of one of the musician. I bet he knew the guy whom he put the confetti on, the musician went out from his line, grabbed some confetti on the ground...and poor guy....bet he needed to spend sometimes just to get out of those confetti out of his hair LOL

No Cocktail, only cherries

I supposed to take picture of my Midori Sour with cherries being thrown on it. Unfortunately, the lighting wasn't on my side and I really wanted to take, at least one, good shot that night. So, there goes Julien LOL. I asked him to drank up my midori, once the cocktail gone I had 3 shinny cherries in my cognac cup. Lied them on my light box and there you go... I named it "Mon Cherries" not a proper English nor French LOL, just a mix of both;)

Today, after taking Regina for her cello practice, we decided to eat at a small Thai Take-away, Thai Orchid Shop, just right in front of the Railway Station of Sion. It is, actually, a mix between a mini market and a take away restaurant (it has only 4 tables squeeze in the shop), however, the food is super good, kinda grandma's cooking.

After ordering foods, as usual, I look around the mini market part, who knows there is something I could bring home with me. Then, I started to joke about why nobody has Durian in their shop. All of sudden, the owner told me that she actually just ordered 2 WHOLE durien and she wouldn't mind to sell one to me at CHF 14 per kg. I told her DEAL!!! Per say, this is the first time in 18 months I craved on this King of Fruit, and this durian I bought weighs about 2 kg ;)

Some of you might think what Durian is ? According to my own definition, it's the best fruits in the world in term of taste. In term of health, maybe one of the worse cause it contains lots of calories, bad cholesterols, carbohydrates and sugars. For me, this fruit is totally parfumed, but some people said the smell is worse than French's camembert cheese (which is yucks). So for those who never has chance to try this fruit and would like to try it, I will say go ahead. It worth to try ;) anyway, we live only once (even though most of my friends will run away if they see me holding this fruits LOL)
